Current Research

Given the growing number of elderly and the relevance for them to keep an active role in society, is of striking importance to provide them with challenging and up to date tools, that let them feel involved in the community life. Senior Channel is a European funded project which aims at developing an interactive television channel adressed to elderly. Elderly will be involed not only as interactive audience, but also as scriptwriters and directors of Senior Channel programs. The core of my research is the usability evaluation of the user interfaces (UI) of Senior Channel and the software elderly use to edit programs. Attention will be also paid to user experience (UX), in particular with respect of user interaction with television contents.
