Training and Virtual Environments

TRAINING THROUGH VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENTS

One classic application of virtual reality is training people to cope with situations that would be to expensive or dangerous if experienced for real. Typical instances are flight simulators or emergency simulators. The Laboratory has realized a series of environments where an emergency situations was simulated, namely a fire in a public library with the goal of studying people’s reactions a various characteristics and manifestations of the emergency.
