RESEARCH AND PROJECTS ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR LIVING ENVIRONMENTS
On Thursday, February 9th, at 2:30 PM, in the Sala dei Giganti of Palazzo Liviano in Padua, an event titled “SMART LIVING – RESEARCH AND PROJECTS ON TECHNOLOGIES FOR LIVING ENVIRONMENTS” took place. The event was co-organized by HTLab of University of Padua and the Veneto Regional Innovative Networks dedicated to research and innovation in the field of “smart living.” It was also attended by the National Technological Cluster SMILE (National Technological Cluster on Smart Living Technologies) with the DANTE project, the “European Digital Innovation Hub” (EDIH), which had a significant hub in Padua, and the extensive innovation ecosystem project iNEST (Interconnected Nord-Est Innovation Ecosystem). Coordinated by the University of Padua and developed with the participation of eight other universities in the Triveneto area and dozens of affiliated partners, iNEST secured funding of over €110 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR).
The event, attended by the Assessor Roberto Marcato (Economic Development – Energy – Special Law for Venice) and the Magnificent Rector Daniela Mapelli, focused on the presentation of the results of three important research projects. SAFE PLACE, HYBRID WORLDS, and ECO-DPI, co-financed with approximately €10 million by the Veneto Region under the POR-FESR calls dedicated to Research and Innovation, were projects coordinated by the Regional Innovative Networks (RIR) “ICT for Smart and Sustainable Living,” “Venetian Green Building Cluster,” and “Veneto Green Cluster.” They involved the participation of other innovative networks “Luce in Veneto” and “Clima ed Energia,” as well as Venetian universities and more than 50 excellent Venetian companies. Among others, the Presidents and Coordinators of the RIR, such as Mauro Borgo, Mauro Roglieri, Enrico Cancino, Alberto Sozza, and Nicola Renoffio, discussed these projects.
