VIRTUAL AND AUGMENTED REALITY LAB

Virtual and augmented reality laboratories are thought to create complex virtual environments and investigate human behavior using immersive and interactive scenarios. The extreme versatility of these instruments permits to run experiments for both research intents and industrial development. Virtual and augmented reality simulations are increasingly used as research tools in many fields: health promotion, attitude and behavior change, occupational skills and safety, collaborative environments and consumer persuasion.
They allow researchers to create realistic as well as controlled simulations in order to collect ecological measures with scientific rigor. Indeed, many studies have shown that people respond to situations presented in VR/AR/MR as if they were real.

The laboratories are fully equipped with the most recent devices for virtual, augmented and mixed reality: Head-mounted displays (HMD) and VR devices for full-body tracking, mixed reality smartglasses, HoloLens, motion sensing input devices and physiological measurement instruments.
